Learn more about the urban legends set in the Dying Light 2: Stay Human universe.
With December 7th quickly approaching Techland has released the first audiobook of the Dying City series. This is the first story in a series of urban legends that Techland will be bringing to their players set in the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human – you don’t even have to pay anything as it can be listened to right now on YouTube.
The first book in the series has been lovingly titled Rosemary and hopes to introduce fans of the Dying Light franchise to the history of Dying Light 2.
Rosemary is an urban legend and a scary story that survivors would tell each other around the bonfire at camp meetings. In a world that looks to be falling apart, it’s hard to believe they would have much time to come up with such scary stories – or perhaps they are somehow real…
This immersive audiobook has been created to make the listener feel like they have joined the residents of The City as they huddle around the UV lamp at night, listening to scary stories when it’s too dangerous to sleep.
These stories which are shared between meetings help the citizens get closer and build bonds while also being a time to hopefully relax. These stories are also there to teach them how to survive and avoid trouble.
Other times it’s nice to drown out the sounds of the rest of the city where monsters are finally leaving their lairs as the sun sets – forever on edge.
Rosemary is just one of many urban legends Techland hopes to share as they hope to also publish similar content based on the Dying Light 2: Stay Human World, they might not all be in the form of audio either.
This is all to build-up to the excitement of Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s release date this December. The game can currently be pre-ordered on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
