While multiplayer may be what the majority of gamers seem to want the most these days, there are still developers committed to developing strong single player games. CD Projekt Red is one of them, though it may change in the future.
Speaking with Eurogamer at this year’s E3, the developer revealed that the studio is doing research on multiplayer, but that’s not the focus of Cyberpunk 2077. Patrick Mills, designer at CD Projekt Red, stated: “We have multiplayer in R&D, but the game we’re shipping to you, the game you’re going to buy is the single-player experience.”
So fear not, anti-social gamers, as Cyberpunk 2077 will release as single player experience. However, it may change at some point after the game’s release.
