Neil Druckmann, the director behind The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Part 2 is known for being a bit of a liar. I won’t go into it too much, but the man is a dirty fibber.
So when he was asked during a behind closed doors gameplay demonstration if there would be multiple playable characters, he said “Ellie is the only playable character in the game.”
Bollocks. Sorry, but I for one do not believe a word that comes out of this man’s mouth. No, it’s not just because I think he’s a pretentious dick, but because he has a track record for lying about such things. Remember when he was asked the same question in the run up to The Last of Us? He stated that Joel would be the only playable character, but then we ended up killing a bunch of dudes as Ellie. So, yeah, don’t believe this guy. And don’t forgive him for turning Uncharted 4 into a bore.
Rant over, I guess?
