Team17 has announced that its first-person sci-fi roguelike, Genesis: Alpha One, will release on PS4 this September 4th, 2018.
The announcement came as part of the PC Game Show at this year’s E3, though most of us here at Pure PlayStation skipped that conference because we’re just console peasants. Hey, at least we know we’re scum.
There’s a new trailer up above that gives you a bit more insight into the game’s ships, gameplay mechanics, and combat. Down below there’s a brief summary of the game, as provided by the lovely people at Team17:
“In a near future ravaged by wars, corrupt regimes and devastating pollution, influential corporations have created the Genesis program in a last-ditch attempt to save humanity.
As the Captain of a Genesis starship, you journey into uncharted space on the ultimate mission. Build and manage a space vessel, explore the galaxy for resources and interesting new lifeforms and experiment with DNA and alien abilities as you clone new crew members
Your goal: Find new homes for humanity’s DNA and save the species from extinction.”
