Bethesda sure was busy at E3 2018. And the studio even found the time to announce a new mobile edition of The Elder Scrolls, named The Elder Scrolls Blades.
But if you’re sat there wondering why you, a PlayStation gamer who is here looking for your PlayStation news, is reading about mobile gaming, I’ll tell you. Because Bethesda’s own Todd Howard let slip that after it launches on more handheld devices, it will be heading to consoles. He wasn’t as forthcoming with a date, though.
The first person game will be familiar to fans of old as it shares many common features – such as quests, mystical combat and story. But it’ll also feature two different modes called Abyss and Arena, the former sounding a bit rogue-esque with floor after floor of dungeons whilst the latter pits you against other players in a gladiator-style stadium. Are you Spartacus enough?
The official blurb, which we assume will remain the same, reads:
In The Elder Scrolls: Blades you are member of the ancient order of the Blades. Forced into exile, you seek refuge in your remote hometown only to find it reduced to rubble. Now, it’s up to you to restore your town back to its former glory.
I know details are vague, but are you intrigued by The Elder Scrolls Blades?
