Microsoft’s E3 presentation was full of wonder, surprises, and announcements. Hey, I’m not going to bash the competition and I’ll give credit where credit is due. One announcement to come out of Phil Spencer’s lovely mouth was that Microsoft had acquired We Happy Few developer, Convulsion Games, and that it would be producing first-party games for Microsoft’s Xbox consoles going forward.
But what does that mean for We Happy Few? Nothing. It’s still coming out on PS4 as well as other platforms, but it’s likely going to be the last game from the studio to grace a Sony console. While that’s sad news for PS4-only owners, the good news is that it’s coming very soon.
We Happy Few will release on August 10th, 2018. There’s a fancy new trailer up above that is totally not creepy at all. No, it is. And I watched it before sleeping. Bad move.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
