The prequel to AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed is leaving Japan for the first time. AKIBA’S TRIP: Hellbound & Debriefed is receiving the HD treatment as it takes you back to the Akihabara of 2012. You will need to hunt vampires and remove their clothes to allow Mr. Sun to remove them from existence. As you can see in the trailer, they are a modest bunch, so you will need to punch and kick their clothes off in this brawler RPG.
Although I don’t know much more (it’s not even listed on XSEED’s site yet), the game was originally called AKIBA’S TRIP Plus in Japan. AKIBA’s TRIP: Undead & Undressed has been on my (steadily growing) list of games to play for a while, and the otaku influenced world is one that should still be strong in this remake of the prequel.
We don’t have a release date yet, but AKIBA’S TRIP: Hellbound & Debriefed will release this winter.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
