If you have a Spotify subscription, you can delve a little deeper into actual Viking history to prepare for the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Ubisoft has put together a series called “Echoes of Valhalla”. Each episode will give you a little perspective on the people and life of being a Viking. The first episode is titled “The Sons of the Great North”, and it tries to shed a little light on the life of a Viking by going to historical experts and adding a little bit of historical drama.
The first episode is available on YouTube, and you can listen to it by clicking on the video at the top. Other episodes will take you over the seas and into England. You can see the rest of the episode topics by clicking here, or searching for it on Spotify.
I’m halfway through the first episode, and it is well-produced. I wouldn’t subscribe to Spotify just for it, but, if you want a little more Vikings in your busy life, throw on a pair of headphones and enjoy.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
