Tripwire Interactive and Digital Lode have announced today that Espire 1: VR Operative will be releasing on PSVR on November 22nd, 2019. That’s this Friday. That’s two days away. Eeek!
Espire 1: VR Operative was originally set to release on September 24th, 2019, but it was delayed a little to give the developers more time to iron out a few kinks and to get performance to a place where we’ll all be happy. At least that’s the hope.
For those who are hearing about this game for the first time (where have you been?!) here’s a quick summary:
Designed to deliver the definitive VR stealth experience, Espire 1: VR Operative drafts players as drone operators of the future. Players become “Espire Agents” and use cutting edge Virtual Reality hardware to remote-operate the Espire model 1 from the safety of their “Control Theatre.”
So, essentially, you control a stealthy robot that goes on secret missions. It’s the closest we currently have to a VR Splinter Cell game, so here’s hoping it’s a cracker.
We sometimes link to online retail stores. If you buy something from our links, we may make a small commission which goes towards keeping the lights on and coffee in the pot.
