EVE: Valkyrie Getting Its Forth Major Update
One of the more popular, but expensive, PlayStation VR experiences will roll out a new, free update on February 15th. EVE: Valkyrie will introduce Wormholes and other new features. The rips in space-time will appear each weekend and introduce players to unique gameplay opportunities that will challenge even the very best space fighter pilot. Its even hinted that some possibilities may be procedurally generated. Alongside the new modes, Leagues will make an appearance. Gamers will earn points towards statuses by playing competitive multiplayer matches. You’ll start out in an Emerald League before progressing on to Sapphire, Ruby, and Diamond, which is the best of the best.
On a smaller note the update will introduce HOTAS (hands-on-throttle-and-stick) support for the PlayStation 4, improvements to the main game via feedback, and various ehancements to performance and stability. You can check out the quick update video above.
EVE: Valkyrie is developed by CCP Games and was a launch title for the PS VR. The spaceship-action shooter got above average reviews but its price point of $60 still keeps some at bay. Let us know if you’re a decorated space pilot and why others should join in on the journey in the comments below!
