Experience Being a Patient in an Asylum in The Town of Light
The Town of Light is a new game inspired by actual events that took place at the Volterra Psychiatric Asylum in Tuscany, Italy. The developers used historical records and research, including creating the building in the game from the actual facility, to make the experience authentic. The main character, Renee, is a patient in the asylum, and she will be coping with her own mental illness and trying to make sense of her past.
Based on the trailer and information, this will be a psychological game, but not the typical terror in an asylum experience. It appears to be an inside view of someone who is struggling with their mental health in a place that may not treat them very well.
It should be a very unique and thought-provoking experience when it releases this spring.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
