The season pass for Far Cry 6 will allow players to delve into the twisted minds of previous antagonists.
In an interview with Bandwagon, game content director Omar Bouali teased what players can expect in the upcoming Season Pass for Far Cry 6 and explained the decision to include previous villains as playable characters.
Boauli explains that the Far Cry 6 Season Pass offers the chance to revisit these iconic villains and explore their backstories and perspectives while exploring previous locations in the series: “We really wanted the players to revisit those iconic locations from Rook Island (FC3), Kyrat (FC4), and Hope County (FC5). But what was more important to us is to revisit them through the villain’s perspective. We tried to portray the personality of each of the villains in their own twisted worlds”
Anticipation for Far Cry 6 is at an all-time high and the reveal of the Season Pass has only added to the excitement. Boauli goes on to confirm that development is going smoothly and that the game is currently going through “polishing” before release. Bouali is aiming to replicate the successful soundtrack of previous entries and teases plenty of surprises in store for players with Far Cry 6 aiming to “pay homage to the brand.”
Far Cry 6 will add Giancarlo Esposito as “El Presidente” Anton Castillo to the series’ impressive lineup of villains a ruthless leader who hopes that his son will follow in his bloodied footsteps. Players will take on the role of Dani Rojas, a guerilla fighter and former Yaran Armed Forces soldier, who attempts to remove Castillo and his tyrannical regime from power to restore Yara to its former glory by any means using makeshift weapons, vehicles and hiring some amigos to help along the way.
Far Cry 6 will be causing mayhem on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Stadia, and Luna from October 7th, 2021.
