Far Cry 6 has suffered a few delays in its journey to console. However, we might have just gotten ourselves a more specific launch window. I say ‘might’ because it’s what has been published on the Microsoft Store, whilst nobody else is saying the same. But Sony’s rival has been quite accurate with these things before, so it’s something we should definitely take note of.
According to the game’s official page, Far Cry 6 is due to release in May 2021 – specifically, the 25th or 26th, depending on where you live. Now, that’s a date that sits within the window Ubisoft gave us (which was sometime between April and September), and is only a few months later than we had originally thought. So, it’s not too bad or far fetched.
However, despite this possible premature unveiling, nothing has been officially confirmed. Yet. But it shouldn’t be too long before Ubisoft put this rumour to bed – if it is true – because they’ll want to reinvigorate the hype and preorders. And personally I think it’s probably going to end up being legit as Microsoft are invested in the game with their console so if anyone’s in the know, it’s probably them. Still, I don’t have a good track record with this sort of thing so maybe take what I type with a pinch of salt.
Maybe I should just proclaim Far Cry 6 will launch sometime in 2021, then at least I can’t be wrong…
