Re: Legend has a compelling elevator pitch. What if you combined Pokemon with Stardew Valley? If it’s done right, you have an interesting game on your hands, and those hands might be covered in gamer money. Let’s figure out if it checks your boxes.
Re:Legend starts with a familiar premise. You are a great hero with amnesia. You wash up on Vokka Island, and you have to complete tasks such as crafting, farming, fishing, and raising your Magnus to help regain your memories. The Magnus are creatures that you can tame and evolve to become more powerful. Along with your crafted weapons, they help you to fight and explore the world of Ethia.
Customizable characters can interact with other villagers, celebrate festivals, and become romantically entangled. Your brave but forgetful adventurer can grow by unlocking new skills and finding more powerful Magnus to train. All of this can be done alone or with up to four players in multiplayer.
There are no PlayStation gameplay videos yet, but I will put a trailer at the top that shows some gameplay. It’s on Steam Early Access now, so you could grab it there if you don’t want to wait for the full PlayStation 4 release in the spring of 2021.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
