Arguably one of the most anticipated games of 2020, Final Fantasy VII Remake might be getting a demo ahead of its release on March 3rd, 2020. Or at least that’s what’s going to happen according to listing posted to the PlayStation Store servers.
Gamestat has revealed that a file has been added to the PlayStation servers and that it could be a demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake. I’ll be honest and say that I’m not entirely sure how Gamestat works or how it pulls this data from the PlayStation Store servers, but it does seem to be legitimate, at first glance anyway.
So, there could be a Final Fantasy VII Remake demo coming to PS4 ahead of the game’s release. It could also not happen. At this point, Sony and Square Enix are saying nothing, and I expect it’ll stay that way for a while.
Demos are all part of the PR masterplan, and Square Enix will no doubt have its own timeline for when it wants information to be released. It’s looking likely, though.
