Firewall Zero Hour has not been the game it should have been lately. Ever since the Operation Nightfall update in May, the game has been in chaos. That’s changing, though, and with the latest update, version 1.26, the game seems to be back on its feet. Players are reporting greatly improved matchmaking across the board, so the real test will be getting even more people online to put some stress on the game’s netcode.
Sony and First Contact Entertainment have announced today that Firewall Zero Hour will be free to play this entire weekend. If you don’t already own the game then you can go ahead and download the full-fat experience at no cost, starting today. The trial is running through until June 30th, so there’s plenty of time to get accustomed to the tactical shooter and to see if it’s worth dropping some pennies for.
The weekend will also bring double XP points to all players, so even veterans like myself will have a reason to slap the headset back on this weekend. Bear in mind that any progress you make during the free trial weekend will carry over to the full game should you decide to buy it. Can’t hurt to try, right?
