Wales Interactive is back with another FMV video game called Night Book, and it’s coming to a console or PC near you this month.
Wales Interactive has confirmed today that its upcoming horror FMV game, Night Book, will be releasing on July 27th for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC, and iOS devices. Pre-orders are live now on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
Night Book is a supernatural horror game that follows Loralyn, a pregnant translator. The husband is away but Loralyn is not entirely alone as her sick father is staying in the house with her.
The story has branching paths that fork off depending on which choices players make. Will you make the right decisions to keep the family safe, or will evil take over the family home? That’s what you’ll have to find out when the game releases on July 27th, 2021.
The game’s director, Alex Lightman, has revealed how the game was put together across several countries and during Coronavirus restrictions:
“Every movie is different but working on Night Book was a truly unique experience. Shooting entirely under COVID restrictions meant that every assumption about how to make a movie had to be reconsidered. The project was shot entirely over Zoom with some scenes taking place across three countries simultaneously, with the actors setting up all their own camera kits and props. It was a real honour to work on such an unusual project with so many talented people, and I hope everyone has as much fun playing Night Book as I did making it.”
Words are great and all, but video is the prevailing platform these days. Have a gander at the trailer below.
