The Game Bakers and Limited Run Games have announced today that the boss-rush, bullet-hell/brawler, Furi, will be getting a limited run of PS4 physical collectors editions in June. Copies will be limited to an initial 5000 and will include the game, the One Last Fight DLC, and a code to download the official soundtrack from the online music retailer Bandcamp. The news comes alongside the release of episode four in the Making of Furi series, which takes an in depth look at the music in the game.
Collectors editions for Furi were announced for both PS4 and PC, with Indiebox supplying the PC version. The PC collectors edition features the game, DLC, and soundtrack, and also includes a 24 page manual, a sticker, and artwork cards. Both the PC and PS4 editions have an rrp of $30/€30, so that’s slightly more for your money with the PC edition. In addition, the soundtrack will soon be available to buy on CD, having previously been available both digitally and on vinyl, and can be preordered from Bandcamp now.
The Making of Furi series follows development of the game and was made over a two year period from the game’s conception to it’s launch. Episode four, music, brings director Katya Mokolo’s series to it’s conclusion. You can see the full series on developer The Game Baker’s YouTube channel.

Dom is a gaming orphan; after his surrogate father SEGA was killed in the console wars, he was adopted by Sony and raised by various PlayStation consoles. He swears he’s not biased in any way though, so that’s good enough for us.
