Are you ready to have your brain teased and tickled? Gadgeteer will do both when it releases on PlayStation VR on May 25th.
What is Gadgeteer? Good question. It’s a puzzle game based on building Rube Goldberg-style contraptions and there are two game modes: Puzzle and Maker.
Puzzle Mode has 60 levels and 100 gadgets to build with and you’ll do everything from building simple falling dominos to wall-scaling machines, and everything in between. And, once you’re done with the levels that the game ships with, you can try your hand at community-made levels from all VR platforms, including Oculus Quest and PCVR. There’s plenty to do, then, and you shouldn’t get bored any time this side of the apocalypse.
Maker Mode is where you can let your creativity run wild – it’s also the place where new creations can be made and shared with other players. If you’ve got the talent to put together a nice level, you can do so here and give your fellow players some extra teasing tasks to complete.
For the PlayStation VR release, you will need either a DualShock 4 controller or a pair of PS Move wand controllers. It’s nice to have options, right?
Gadgeteer has been expanded and improved since it first released over four years ago, and while it may have taken a long, long time to make its way to the PSVR headset, at least PSVR players will get the complete package from day one. Swings and roundabouts, eh? You could probably make some swings and roundabouts, actually…
