Gamescom 2016: EA Announces Star Wars: Battlefront Rogue One X-Wing as Free VR DLC

Calling all Star Wars fans! If you ever wanted to sit in the pilot seat of an X-Wing (and let’s face it; who hasn’t?) , well now you can.

In between game streams at Gamescom 2016 this evening, EA rocked the audience with the announcement of a Rogue One-themed VR mission for Star Wars: Battlefront. To further rapturous applause, the DLC was revealed to be free for owners of Star Wars: Battlefront on PS4.

Few details were revealed but the announcer was keen to stress they were attempting to “recreate the childhood dream of piloting an X-Wing.”
