Ghost Recon Wildlands PvP Beta Opens September 21st

The Open Beta for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands greatly anticipated player vs player mode will go live on September 21st, though players can pre-download it from the 19th. It will run until the 25th.

Ghost War’s trial will be available whether you own the base game or not, and it is expected to launch in its entirety sometime this fall.

Ubisoft had this to say about the update, which will also see the introduction of new tactics specifically for team-based combat:

In Ghost War, two groups of players will team up to take part in a four-versus-four team deathmatch experience that builds on the tactical squad play from the main game. Teams will choose from a roster of varied classes that fill specific roles on the battlefield as they navigate large-scale, open maps and take down their enemies. Ghost War will also integrate new PvP mechanics, including suppressing fire and sound markers, to create a true military strategic, team-based multiplayer mode.

Did Wildlands rewrite the shooter genre for you, or did Ubisoft’s Far Cry-esque title leave you feeling like a goldfish in the Atlantic? Remember, sustainable fishing is the future. Long live the mackerel!
