There’s a lot of hype surrounding the Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World. Particularly as it is a story driven add-on that brings the latest tale to a close. But with today’s release of its trophy list, there’s still a surprise or two to be had.
That’s because, in addition to the bronze, silver and gold Tupperware, Iceborne will also be shipping with a platinum trophy. The question is, will you get your hunter mitts on it?
The news came via the PlayStation Network, and it didn’t take long for fans to notice. After all, we’re not used to a double platinum for a game – irrespective of whatever form the DLC take. But it at least offers us all the opportunity of grabbing another mesiah trophy for our mantelpiece, especially in a game that so many people have enjoyed.
Now, you might be wondering what you’ve got to do to get the platinum. And the answer is a lot. In fact, there are fifty new trophies on offer in total – rivalling many standalone titles, I’m sure you’ll agree. But don’t forget, these extra “boasting badges” are only available if you both own Monster Hunter World and have beaten its story. Otherwise, you’ve got a long – but worthwhile – journey ahead.
Is this a platinum you’re determined to grab? Or is there too much hunting in Monster Hunter World Iceborne for your liking, with both the monsters and trophies vying for capture? Set a trap for us below.
