If you’re a PS4 Pro owner looking for your next game to justify your purchase, God of War on PS4 will fit the bill perfectly, according to the developer.
God of War’s creative director, Cory Balrog, took some time to answer questions on Twitter from eager fans. When asked whether players need to upgrade to a PS4 Pro to fully enjoy the new God of War, Balrog replied: “Nope, you don’t have to, but if you do 4k is AMAZING, if you have a 4k TV, of course. If you don’t, we have a performance mode that puts the extra power to good use and makes the game run so so smooth!”
That’s good news for PS4 Pro owners who are also rocking a decent 4K telly. To be clear, there will be two different modes on offer in God of War. There’s performance mode which will give you better in-game performance, and then there’s 4K mode that will… Do we really have to say it?
According to Balrog, performance mode is pretty good but the game looks amazing in 4K, and as such, he can’t decide which mode is better. If the guy who made the bloody game can’t choose one over the other, how the hell are we supposed to?
God of War release on April 20th. No doubt this will be the ultimate 4/20 for many players. Hang around Pure PlayStation and we’ll keep you updated on anything and everything God of War.
