We’re not too fussed about commercial success here at Pure PlayStation, getting our sticky meat hooks into an enjoyable game has always been priority number one. That said, it’s always nice to see a much talked about exclusive deliver on its promises and make a dent in the multi-platform sales charts. Gravity Rush 2 made its debut in the UK retail charts last week and it was an impressive one, achieving 16th slot in overall multi platform software sales.
The stats were provided by UKIE, the go to people for all things related to interactive entertainment sales here in the UK. It was a good week for debut titles, with Nintendo 3DS exclusive Dragon Quest VIII coming in even higher at 13th. While GTA V remains an unassailable powerhouse in the number one spot, the two newcomers have pushed last years reboot of DOOM out of the top 20 for the first time this year. You can check out the full top 20 below.
There aren’t too many surprises to be found in this weeks charts as a predictably slow start to the years releases means that last year’s big hitters are still going strong. What will be the game to finally knock GTA V off the top spot? At this rate, probably Red Dead Redemption 2.

Dom is a gaming orphan; after his surrogate father SEGA was killed in the console wars, he was adopted by Sony and raised by various PlayStation consoles. He swears he’s not biased in any way though, so that’s good enough for us.
