Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is out now on consoles, and if smacking about a couple of cheeky goblins sounds like your idea of a good time, you may be wondering just how much of your time it’ll take. How long does it take to beat Dark Alliance? Is it a good time investment? I’ve done battle with all of the magical creatures and I’ve watched them credits roll, so if you’re wanting to know how long it takes to beat, you’ve come to the right place.
The main story takes place over a number of different areas, with each one further broken down into 3 Acts. Some Acts are a quick in-and-out job with only a few enemies to knock heads with before ending with a boss encounter, while others have you buckling down for the long haul. Some of these longer missions can easily take you an hour or more to beat, especially if you’re like me and milk each level for every chest, weapon and sack of gold.
How Long to Beat Dark Alliance campaign?
If you’re happy enough to settle on the one play-through, concentrating on one of the four playable characters, you are looking at beating the game in around 20 hours. That’s if you wish to simply hit the end credits and run, but if you’re looking to get your money worth and beat the game with each character then that time is only going to scale upwards. You could be looking at anywhere up to 80 hours when you consider there are 4 characters to choose from, and this is the only way you’ll get your hands on that Platinum trophy.
Dark Alliance seems to have been designed with replayability in mind, and it’s here that you get your value for money. If you’re lucky enough to have a few friends along for the ride, Dark Alliance has the potential to be a really good time.
