How long is too long?
How long is Rustler? How long does it take to get the platinum trophy and all of the achievements? These are pertinent questions for time-poor players, so we’ve got a little guide to let you know how long you can expect to be running around in Rustler.
How long is the story mode?
The game’s story mode is made up of main missions and side missions, though many of the side missions are actually necessary to beat the story.
All told, it took me just over 6 hours to beat Rustler on PS5. During that time, I ran my way through the story, almost all of the side missions, as well as some of the side activities like MMA, racing, and deliveries. I also collected a fair amount of the game’s collectables during this time, and then I went back and got the rest later. This brings me to the next point…
How long to get all trophies and the platinum trophy in Rustler?
One condition for getting the Ruster platinum trophy is that you collect all of the game’s collectables. Thankfully, there aren’t that many. There are 20 horseshoes and nine musical notes to hunt down throughout Rustler’s world. Weapons are also counted towards the game’s collectables, and if you play through the story, you’ll come across all of them naturally at one point or another. Your main concern is finding the horseshoes and musical notes.
Hunting down the collectables took me an extra three hours. This is perhaps the most difficult and time-consuming part of Rustler’s trophy hunt. The rest of the trophies are fairly straightforward and not all that difficult. You should, at least with the help of our horseshoes location guide and musical notes location guide, be able to add the platinum trophy to your collection within 10-12 hours, depending on how long it takes you to beat the story.
