Flap your wings hard enough and you’ll be finished in record time!
The Falconeer: Warrior Edition has now landed on PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch, and it comes with a bunch of extra content, including the expansive Edge of the World DLC. So how long is it? How long to beat The Falconeer? That’s a good question, and it all depends on how you play the game.
How long is the main story?
How long it takes to finish The Falconeer story mode depends entirely on how you play. If you explore the unique watery world of Ursee, flying from one end of the world to the other, taking breaks to explore the world and find its secrets, it’ll take you a lot longer.
In my first playthrough, I finished the main story in around 10 hours – this was on normal difficulty. I did some exploration and side-missions, but not many. If you go for every side mission offered to you and take more time to explore, you could easily double your story mode playthrough to around 20 hours – especially with the Edge of the World DLC being included.
How long to get all trophies? Platinum trophy?
The Falconeer does have a platinum trophy and it’s a fairly easy one, so long as you’re willing to put in the hours to find every shrine, temple, hideout, and so on. Going for the Platinum trophy should take you no more than 20-25 hours, depending on which difficulty you play on.
Thankfully, none of the trophies are tied to playing on any particular difficultly, so if you want to plough through the game quickly using the Easy difficulty, you won’t be punished. In fact, I’d say it’s probably a good idea to use Easy mode – the game has some unfortunate difficulty spikes – which I noted in my The Falconeer PS5 review – and if you’re not equipped just right, you’ll find yourself struggling in the later chapters. Easy mode kind of solves this, but not completely, so be sure to do some side missions and collect some cash for upgrades.
