Warner Bros. Games has officially unveiled the long-rumoured Harry Potter RPG game, and it’s called Hogwarts Legacy.
The game got its initial trailer during today’s PlayStation 5 showcase stream, and while we didn’t get much information directly from the developers or the publisher, we did see quite a bit of the game and learn some details.
The game will take place before the Harry Potter years, and players will create their own character, that much is clear. The game will have players take part in lessons; from potions to flying, you’ll be a full-on student at the most famous school of witchcraft and wizardry.
But it doesn’t end there. Previous rumours suggested the entire game would take place exclusively inside Hogwarts, but the trailer tells us that the adventures will go far beyond Hogwart’s historic walls.
There’s not much else to say at this point as platforms and a release date haven’t been confirmed. Hogwarts Legacy will release in 2021 at some point, but whether it’ll be a next-gen only release remains to be seen.
