Hideo Kojima Creates a Brilliant Homage to War Movie 1917 in Death Stranding

Not news as much, but worth a look for any film buffs nonetheless. Kojima Productions head, Hideo Kojima, has put out a new video on his Instagram page that seemingly teases something coming in 2020, but in all likelihood is just a brilliantly done homage to the Sam Mendes war film, 1917.

The clip comes with the caption “Coming 2020”, but I don’t think we should be reading into this too much. The game is already confirmed as coming to PC in 2020, and it’s unlikely we’ll see DLC release until after the PC edition has launched, and that’s if there are any DLC plans anyway.

Still, it’s a nice little tribute to a brilliant movie, and it doesn’t look completely out of place in Death Stranding. Give it a watch and then let us know what you think down in the comments section below.
