Schell Games’ slick spy puzzle game prepares to launch this August on PSVR, Quest, Rift, and Steam VR.
Schell Games has announced today that I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar, starring Wil Wheaton, will release on PSVR, Quest, Rift, and SteamVR on August 24th, 2021.
The developer has also revealed what this deadly trip will cost, a well as a pre-order discount for PSVR players. The regular version of the game will be on sale for $24.99/£19.99 and for those who pre-order the game via the PlayStation Store, a 10% discount will be applied.
Schell Games has also released a new trailer for the game and it’s something a bit different: a mixed-reality clip showing a couple of players taking on some of the challenging puzzles in the game. It’s really neat and worth a watch, so give the trailer a look down below.
If you’re wondering what I Expect You To Die 2 is all about, where have you been? Did you not play the fantastic first game? Shame on you.
I Expect You To Die 2, much like the original, is an escape puzzle game set in a world, not unlike the early James Bond movies; an earlier trailer with the game’s theme song is very, very James Bond
The game’s tone is cheesy, goofy, and full of fun twists and turns with plenty of ways to die. You are expected to die in the game. Lots. It’s in the name. The challenge comes in figuring out how to escape each scenario and complete your mission.
I Expect You To Die 2 continues where the first game finished with six new missions full of espionage, evil villains, and lots of brain-teasing (and exploding) puzzles.
