It seems like we’ve been waiting on Iron Man VR for a very long time. But despite a strong launch (as strong as iron, you could say), the game couldn’t take the top spot off of The Last of Us Part 2. To be honest, it’s probably to be expected. In fact, I doubt any game could have launched so near to Naughty Dog’s latest and have done any better. But it still shows how timing affects everything because there’s nothing second best about Iron Man VR.
Well, except for its vomit inducing gameplay. But that’s because most of us aren’t cut out to be superheroes. Harsh, but true.
Number two is still a good show, though, when you’re talking about the top ten. What with only the one other game in front of you and eight behind. And it’s another high scoring game for PlayStation amongst a table that is so often dominated by Nintendo, so that’s not to be downplayed. But if we remember that the PSVR user base is far less than the console user base in general, this is actually a much stronger performance than it first appears.
Not to mention the fact these charts only take physical copies into consideration, too.
Otherwise, it’s evident that Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated has disappeared from view – only making twelfth this week. But at least Grand Theft Auto V is still hanging around…
