We like (but often have mixed feelings about) Frontier Development’s space sim Elite Dangerous, but Jurassic World Evolution is a different animal entirely. It’s still a sim in the general sense, but you will be building your own park. You will have to entertain the visitors, build new exhibits, and create new breeds of dinosaurs while preventing the tragedy predicted in Jeff Goldblum’s nature monologue.
In case you missed it, Jeff Goldblum will be in the game. He will be reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm from 1993’s Jurassic Park. (Geez, has it been 25 years already?) We suspect he is only playing himself or a caricature of himself, like Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell, but would you really want anything else?
Jurassic World Evolution will be breaking fences and pulling DNA out of amber on June 12th.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
