Tripwire Interactive has announced the PSVR release date for Killing Floor Incursion. From May 1st you’ll be able to take on the dead in Killing Floor Incursion on PS4, though only with PSVR. If you don’t have a PSVR headset, you’re not going to be able to play this spin-off entry in the Killing Floor series.
There’s more good news to go alongside the release date announcement. For one, Killing Floor Incursion will release worldwide on May 1st. That means no waiting extra because you live in a different country. Staggered releases are a pain in the nuts so it’s good that we’re able to avoid such a situation this time around.
The next bit of good news is that it’s not massively expensive. Killing Floor Incursion will cost $29.99/29.99€, which is a fair price for what’s on offer. PSVR games have a bad habit of being over-priced in comparison to their PCVR counterparts. There’s no word yet on pricing for the UK, though we imagine it’ll most likely stick close to £29.99, though it could be a little lower, but certainly not higher.
And finally, there’s the timed exclusive Holdout Mode map called “The Crucible”. This bonus level has players taking on hordes of enemies whilst they attempt to defend their location. The PSVR release of Killing Floor Incursion will also include all of the post-launch content updates that have already been released on the PCVR version of the game. That means you’ll get an extra difficulty settings, a weapon, online leaderboards and more.
Killing Floor Incursion originally released on PCVR headsets back in November of last year. It’s not set the charts on fire with great review scores, but we’re quietly optimistic that it’ll turn out decent on PSVR.
