UNIVRS Inc has announced today that it will be releasing Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing later this year on Oculus Quest, and then on PSVR, Oculus Rift, and other VR headsets in early 2021.
The game is based on the Netflix series Little Witch Academia, and the game will also feature the voice talents from the show with English and Japanese audio being supported.
The game puts you on the broomstick as part of an all-new story that’s told across more than 10 tracks that are spread throughout familiar areas around Luna Nova. Fans of the TV show will surely recognise more than most.
Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing will have a full single-player mode, as well as multiplayer support where you’ll be able to fly around and explore with your mates.
If this all sounds like a recipe for a tummy-turning disaster, you should worry not, as the developers are using their own anti-motion sickness technology to keep the focus on the fun of the game, and not pukey carpets. Whether it’ll work is something else…
The real question I have is why is this little-known TV show getting a VR broom flying game before Harry Potter? C’mon Warner, Quidditch and VR, tomorrow.

Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
