Assassin’s Creed is taking a break this year – probably for the best, really – but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from turning. It’s been whispered for years now that Assassin’s Creed would be taking the fight against the Templars to Egypt.
A new image leaked online seems to suggest that Assassin’s Creed: Empire will indeed by taking place in Egypt, with the leaked developer image showing a wire-frame pyramid (that’s Egyptian!) and a bit of the game’s menu which includes an e-store. Yes, it looks like micro-transactions will be a part of Assassin’s Creed: Empire. Yay…
Of course, this image could be the work of a fakey fakestar, but it’s looking pretty authentic; the fact the name of the developer is shown and he’s listed as a real Ubisoft employee lends it some credence.
