Love ’em or hate ’em, remasters are very much here to stay, or at least for the time being. The latest remaster to be leaked is a collection of Rocksteady’s Arkham games that released originally released on PS3.
In an image sent to Eurogamer via a GameStop employee who clearly doesn’t care about confidentiality, we can see that Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City have been remastered for PS4 and Xbox One. The image claims that each game has been remastered with optimised visuals for PS4 and Xbox One, and that each game will be shipping with all the previously released DLC.
The image also claims that pre-orders will open on April 19th – that’s tomorrow for those of you without a calendar. Of course, it’s possible that this is an elaborate hoax, but we’re actually quite confident that this one’s gonna turn out to be real. Actually, we recently put the Arkham games in our list of PS4 games that we’re still waiting to be remastered. Lucky us, eh?
What’s not included is Batman: Arkham Origins, though we’re not sure too many people will be upset at its omission.
What do you think? More remasters a good thing, or are you opposed to them? Even Batman?! Let us know down in the comments section below.
