Wales Interactive will be releasing a next-gen update for its first-person horror game Maid of Sker, and it’ll bring more than a few performance upgrades.
Wales Interactive’s Maid of Sker will be getting a next-gen update on May 26th and it’ll bring some next-gen features to the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
On PS5, the game will benefit from drastically reduce loading times, taking just one second to load against the PS4’s 15 seconds. There will also be a new 60fps mode (at 1440p) or you can play at 4K/30fps – the choice is yours.

The PS5 update will also see the game receive support for the DualSense controller, meaning extra haptic feedback as well as responsive triggers for different weapons.
May 26th will also bring some new FPS Challenge Modes, which are first-person shooter challenges, and these will be available on all platforms – even the last-gen editions of the game, and it’s completely free of charge.
Maid of Sker released back last year and when we reviewed it, we gave it a respectable 6.5/10 – ‘Good’, with Jason highlighting the music as an especially moving part of the game.
