After waiting and wondering, Yakuza Kiwami 2 has finally released. The polished remake is yet another title in a growing collection of Yakuza games that have been beautified visually and auditorily and given additional content. So, how do you celebrate? You sing a song about Majima Construction.
The trailer contains both live-action and cuts from the game. There is a small chorus of people wearing yellow hard-hats and singing Majima Construction’s praises. Since the words are at the bottom of the screen, you are welcome to join the inspiring sing-a-long. Majima is a charismatic and inspiring guy, but I am not sure I would work for or sing about him.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is the second game built on Sega’s new Dragon Engine. After Kiryu tried to leave the criminal life and raise Haruka, he is pulled back to stop an assassination from leading to all-out war. Filled with brawler combat, crazy scenes, plenty of substories (which can be just as interesting as the main story sometimes), and mini games, Yakuza Kiwami 2 promises to be an exciting adventure for fans.
Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
