Auroch Digital has announced today that Mars Horizon will be releasing on November 17th for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, but you can get an early taste for the game with the free demo that’s currently available on PC.
In Mars Horizon you take over a space agency and your mission is to explore the stars. It’s a deep management sim game where you have to research new technologies, budget your finances, expand your agency, and build high-tech rockets to send your crew to the stars and beyond.
The game was developed with input by the real-life UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency, so you know you’re getting something a little geekier and realistic than usual. That’s not to say Mars Horizon won’t break the rules here and there, but at its core, it’s rooted in science and maths.
I was fortunate to be able to play an early release version of the game and my preview can be watched up above, or you can read it if that’s more your thing.
