The announcement of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Mores (or at least the clarification a few days later) left many gamers feeling a little underwhelmed by the next instalment of the tight wearing hero. In fact, we’re still a little unsure over how big or how much that one’s going to be. But a recent blog post suggests a full-blown sequel is actually still in the pipeline. News that has kicked quite a few brains into overdrive. You know – drawing conclusions between what are probably unrelated coincidences, which make us feel better nonetheless.

First up is the realisation that the original game’s director, Brian Horton, isn’t on the team for this one. So, surely that means he is busy working on the proper sequel, right? Then there’s the quote from Insomniac themselves, whereby they proclaim they still have a lot “of Peter’s story left to tell“. And that is only possible when he’s the main character throughout, surely?
Plus, there’s the reality that Insomniac Games are more than happy to split their attention between multiple projects – a talent that is evident currently, with both Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Mores and Ratchet and Clank in production. So, it’s more than likely that they have enough resources to make that three games in the development pipeline.
Or at least that’s what I’m willing to believe. It’s probably wishful thinking. But when it comes to superheroes, anything is possible!
