Mass Effect Andromeda E3 Content Was Held Back to Give Other EA Games a Chance to Shine

We got our first real taste of BioWare’s Mass Effect Andromeda at this year’s E3, though it did feel a little bare-bones. There’s a reason we didn’t get to see more of the upcoming title, as explained by BioWare’s Aaryon Flynn.

Flynn, speaking with Eurogamer, noted that the studio could have shown more and talked a lot more about Mass Effect Andromeda during EA’s EA Play press conference. Flynn further explains that the reason the studio didn’t show or tell more was that there was the fear that Mass Effect Andromeda would overshadow the other EA games on show that night such as Battlefield 1, FIFA 17 and all the rest.

It’s not all bad, though, as EA has promised that we’ll see and learn more before the game launches next year.
