Atlus is continuing its deluge of trailers lately with a new character. Haru Okumura is the daughter of a wealthy businessman, and she lives a life of luxury. Unfortunately for her, that life comes with a few quid pro quos, such as being told what to do and how to do it for her entire life. The Phantom Thieves are a source of freedom for her, and she is able to be more than just the proper and obedient girl. (Just an FYI, for the right amount of money, most of us would probably be a proper and obedient girl, so any wealthy Japanese businessmen can drop us an email.)
Haru is voiced by Xanthe Huynh. She has previously lent her voice to anime characters in Sword Art Online, K-On!, and the excellent One-Punch Man. She has also voiced characters in two Hyperdimension Neptunia titles, The Witch and the Hundred Knight, and the awesomely named Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart. You can see more of her roles on her Wikipedia page here.
You can see an interview with Xanthe at the bottom of this article. It is great to see the voice actors speak with enthusiasm about the characters, but it seems pretty common that most of them have never played a Persona game. We are not worried. Atlus is no slouch on voice performances, and it looks like Persona 5 will be a great entry point for the series.
Let us know in the comments if Haru Okumura will have a permanent place in your party when the game hits shelves in April.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
