The plot of Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon sounds fantastic for any fans of anime or Japanese games. You are Aluche, and your friend, Liliana, has been chosen to be sacrificed as the Bride of Time to save the world from the Moon Queen. The Moon Queen wants to kill everyone and be a general buzzkill.
Sacrificing a friend seems bad enough, but Aluche is killed by a demon. She is revived as a half-demon who can use the blood of her foes to give herself new powers and become stronger. Since being dead and revived gives anyone a little more purpose, she and her companions have to stop the Moon Queen and rescue Liliana.
Your party of heroes is composed of an NPC and two Servans. Servans are divided into Trickers or Strikers with different abilities. They level up through reincarnation and can even change form as they become stronger. This sounds a little like a Pokemon mechanic to us.
Everyone has their own powers and past, but, as usual, if they work together, the world will be saved and (we are sure) friendships will be made. The classics are classics for a reason.
You can meet some of the characters in a new trailer released today and be ready to save a scantily clad friend when Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon releases October 24th.

Jason became terminally addicted to videogames after receiving the NES at an early age. This addiction grew to include PC gaming and was cemented with the launch of the PS2. From then on, he was afflicted with epic RPGs, tense shooters, and deep strategy games, never becoming skillful, but never able to quit. He continues to play games (poorly) and share his passion for them to anyone willing to listen.
