Mirror’s Edge has had its release date delayed by a month, as announced by EA and DICE on the official Mirror’s Edge blog. Writing in the update post Erik Odeldahl, Design Director at DICE stated:
“To support the Social Play features, we are using a brand new online technology. We also want to make sure we have the opportunity and time to address player feedback from the Closed Beta.”
Instead of releasing in May, Mirror’s Edge will no release on June 7th in North America and June 9th in the UK and Europe. We’re absolutely gutted but at the same time we’d prefer a delayed game rather than a shoddy mess – something not every publisher seems to be on board with.
We sometimes link to online retail stores. If you buy something from our links, we may make a small commission which goes towards keeping the lights on and coffee in the pot.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
