The team at Bombservice is launching Momodora: Reverie under the Moonlight worldwide on March 16. According to Rdein, the game’s creator and main designer, the series is heavily influenced by a couple of the classics.
“I have very fond memories of playing gaming classics such as Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night and Chrono Cross, way back in the PSone days, and it’s that attachment that got me into making my own games in the first place. Those titles (among a few others) are truly inspirational to me, so I felt that it would be natural for me to try creating my own games based on the ideas I have. Now, it is very exciting for me to have one of my games released on a home console.”
Rdein went on to say that, although, Reverie under the Moonlight is the fourth installment in the series, it is more of a prequel and could act as a great entry point for the uninitiated to begin the Momodora experience. It’s clear from watching the above trailer that Rdein and Bombservice truly love the classic, 2D side-scrolling games from our youth and that is just fine with us here at Pure PlayStation.
