Final Kombat 2020 had more in store than some nail-biting championship fighting as Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios also announced a new character for Mortal Kombat 11’s swelling roster.
The new character is fan-favourite comic book character Spawn, and to give him his moment of glory Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios have knocked together a brand new trailer showing the fighter in action. The trailer also features two unreleased music tracks from heavy metal band Trivium, if that’s your thing.
If you’re a Kombat Pack owner, you’ll get access to Spawn on March 17th, while everyone else will get access on March 24th. You’ll also get the Spawn-inspired skin, “Hellspawn” Jacqui Briggs, alongside the Matinee Skin Pack which features “Osh Tekk Vandal” Kotal Kahn, “Swashbuckler” Erron Black, and “Space Marine” Jacqui Briggs, all of whom will be available on March 17th, for Kombat Pack owners anyway.
“Spawn was formerly Al Simmons, the U.S. government’s greatest soldier and most effective assassin, before being mercilessly executed by his own men. Resurrected from the ashes of his own grave in a flawed agreement with the powers of darkness, Simmons was reborn as a creature from the depths of Hell – a Hellspawn. Now, he is thrust into the world of Mortal Kombat™ 11, where he will fight for supremacy against all Kombatants.”
