How do you like your racers? Simple? Simple to the point you’ll only ever need to turn left? Then NASCAR Heat 3 will sort you right out.
There’s actually a bit more variety to it than that, to be fair, as this year’s edition of 704Games’ racer brings the new Xtreme Dirt Tour with eight brand new dirt tracks.
That’s not all that’s new, as the developers have been busy tweaking under the hood to bring an improved gameplay experience with a deeper career mode, as well as online tournaments. Is a game even a game anymore if it doesn’t have online tournys?
If you’re planning on buying NASCAR Heat 3, it may be worth bearing the smells of GameStop as the game’s publisher is offering a $50 race-ticket coupon, redeemable toward the purchase of any NASCAR-sanctioned event ticket through 2019 at any of Speedway Motorsports, Inc.’s eight tracks, as well as Dover International Speedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Not bad at all. Unfortunately for me, I live in Germany. Bah, humbug.
But that’s not all. There’s even more. Along with the new modes and tournaments, NASCAR Heat 3 will bring an all-new esports tournament to PS4 in the form of NASCAR Heat Champions: Road to Miami. Players can compete against one another in online tournaments with the weekly winners being flown to Miami for the final competition during the Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Now that’s a decent little incentive to get online, right?
NASCAR Heat 3 is out today on PS4 and other platforms either via the PlayStation Store, or via your local retailer. Alternatively, you can get the game via Amazon.
Chris has been writing about gaming news for far too long, and now he’s doing it even more. A true PlayStation know-it-all, Chris has owned just about every Sony console that ever existed. Trophies are like crack to this fella. (Bronze trophies, that is – he only has one Platinum.)
