Fans are struggling to remain patient as we wait for more news about The Last of Us Part 2. And numerous sites are publishing teasers each week about an upcoming reveal. So much so that Naughty Dog themselves have felt the need to address the situation, and unfortunately it’s not good news.
In what was the straw that broke the camel’s back, a joke about a 2019 launch from The Onion prompted a response from the studio. But rather than say for certain either way, their wording remained vague. In the Tweet, Arne Meyer (community manager) said that news would only be shared as and when it and they were ready. In the meantime, they greatly appreciate our patience.
To be fair, the only reason that fans are so vocal in their need for information is the fact that Sony is skipping E3. That alone has worried the community over the possibility of a PS5 announcement later in the year, and the knock on effect that may have on the most anticipated games yet to be released – namely The Last of Us Part 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. However, the uncertainty will have to go on for a while longer, yet…
