Destiny 2 is going to be getting another DLC. And we’re going to learn more about it next Tuesday, June 9th. However, this news was announced in an Instagram post, which has now been removed. So, either the reveal has been abruptly cancelled or the whole thing wasn’t meant to be made public yet. My money is on the latter – something that is happening a lot right now…

From what has been reported, the destination is Europa. A location that was first brought to our attention in the game’s initial concept art, though has been notably absent in the time since. But, as Bungie themselves posted, “The next chapter of Destiny 2 is almost here. Tune in for the unveiling at 6pm CEST on June 9.” So, the wait is almost over.
However, simply allowing Guardians to set foot on this infamous yet elusive region will be for nothing if it fails to remedy previous shortcomings – of which there are a few. Dead ends and poor story arcs have left the community in two minds as to whether his once great franchise can still claim such praise. And it’s a lot to ask one DLC to fix. Especially when the team behind it were behind all the others.
It’s also worth pointing out that, even if the announcement was accidental and the reveal is actually planned for the 9th, they’ll need to re-announce it again soon. Otherwise, the event will be here and no one will know where to go to see it. But I guess all this means nothing if gamers have already jumped ship from Destiny 2.
