New Ghost Recon Wildlands Trailer Showcases PvP Mode and Season Pass Details

A short five days from now we’ll be able to take up the mantle of the Ghosts once again. This time the goal is to take out a dangerous, Bolivian drug cartel. But what about after the journey is over? Ubisoft has addressed those concerns by way of a post-launch trailer. First, the video skims over some details about the previously announced PvP mode and even shows some minimal gameplay. It promises to be tactical, class-based, 4v4 team combat.

Secondly, the game’s season pass. If you purchase it, you’ll receive one week early access to the two expansions. Narco Road will focus on players infiltrating a gang of smugglers to takes down its infamous leader. New races and vehicles will be added to travel the wildlands. Fallen Ghosts deals with the Ghosts’ chopper being shot down by an elite group of mercenaries. They are then hunted and gamers will have to employ new skills and weapons to fight back. No release date was given for either DLC pack.

Of course there will be some nice dreads as apart of the season pass as well. Rebellion Ghost Pack offers Katari 26 outfits and an AK-47 equipped with a bigger magazine and custom engravings. The Unidad Ghost Pack contains a special Unidad costume and a Unidad LMG with a red dot scope and larger magazine. Lastly, Santa Blanca Ghost Pack will grant a Santa Blanca Cartel-inspired outfit and a golden M1911, also engraved.

Additionally, players with the season pass will receive an exclusive vehicle, Bolivian Minibus, a permanent +5% XP boost for all activities, and a single-use XP booster that increases experience gained by 50% for the user and 25% for other players in the session for two hours.

Ghost Recon Wildlands will release on March 7th and can be pre-ordered here. Let’s hope Horizon Zero Dawn and Torment: Tides of Numenera don’t hurt Ubisoft’s latest title’s sales. We here at Pure PlayStation have been kind of obsessing over both. As usual hit us up below with your comments and we’ll respond accordingly.
